Smith College Campus
In May of 1995, on the weekend of our 25th reunion, the weather was very fine and the campus grounds were groomed to the hilt. Every single tree and bush and plant was in extravagant full bloom, to the point where you can hardly make out where each picture was taken, or which building is buried under all those leaves. I regret that I lost all my pictures of the alumna parade, which was surprisingly moving, led as it was by proud women in their seventies and eighties, who would have been the vanguard of intelligent and enterprising women in their day. Here is our beloved and beautiful campus, from its heart to its soccerfields, by way of Chapin Gardens and Paradise Pond.
