The Graduate
Weegie graduated first in her puppy class. This means she walked on her leash pretty well, turning right and left and sitting when we stopped. She sat and allowed Margaret to walk up and touch her head.
She waited in a sit while I went to the end of the six-foot leash, then came when I called. She blew the sit in front at the end of the recall, but that was my fault. We didn't practce that one much, and I didn't handle it very well.
The best part was the sit and down stay. Weegie held the sit for one minute and the down for three minutes with hardly a fidget. She was the only puppy able to do this. The group exercises were Wily's and my downfall, so I am training them carefully with the Weege, and she is doing well.
I tried to get a proper graduation picture of the newly obedient puppy sitting with her ribbon hanging from her collar, but she wouldn't hold still or stop biting her ribbon, so I had to settle for a decorated crate shot. Tomorrow we start Intermediate.

At almost six months, the Weege has just about outgrown Craig's lap.
