The Giralda

This tower, so emblematic of Sevilla, is another case of a minaret being converted into a bell tower. The bells are pretty impressive. Much as I like bells, I was just as glad these didn't ring when I was in the top of the tower.

To climb the Giralda you must walk up a ramp. There are 30 switchbacks, and it adds up to about eight stories. The view from the top is very grand.
But speaking of views, it was time to get back on that fast train and make one last stop in the north, in Toledo.
